Kevin Sweryd

Kevin P. Sweryd
President/Funeral Director

After Graduation from the University of Manitoba in 1992 with an Arts Degree in psychology, Kevin began his training at the Western School of Funeral Service at Bardal Funeral Home, graduating in 1994 and winning the Top Student Award for highest academic achievement in his class, and the Arbor Ethics Award. Kevin is a dedicated member of his church, is involved with minor football as a coach and league commisioner with the NFL Flag Football League, is a member of the Winnipeg Winter Club, and is an affiliate member of the East St. Paul Lion's Club. Kevin is married to Patricia and has two children Adam and Erin.

 

 
David Pritchard

David E. Pritchard
Vice President / Funeral Director

Born at Roland, Manitoba, graduated from the University of Minnesota, Mortuary Science in 1965, than joining Bardal Funeral Home. Became a partner in 1969 at the retirement of Neil and Karl Bardal. David Holds Funeral Director/ Embalmer Licences in Manitoba and Minnesota. David is active in the First Lutheran Church, Winnipeg Philatelic Society, Manitoba Jaguar Club, Antique Motorcycle Club of Manitoba, Antique Motorcycle Club of Americia inc.and a is  past director Funeral Service Association of Canada and Better Business Bureau. David is married to Gail, has a daughter Susan, a daughter Patricia, son-in-law Kevin Sweryd (Manager of Bardal Funeral Home), son Gordon & his wife Renee Demare, daughters; Sydney and Alexandra. David enjoys restoring classic British cars and motorcycles, skiing, woodworking and many collecting interests.

Patricia Sweryd
Business Manager

Patricia has been involved in the family business with her father for almost 25 years. Patricia has a Bachelor of Arts in Administrative Studies from the University of Winnipeg. Patricia is a devoted wife and mother who greatly enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is an active member of her church and the Winnipeg Winter Club badminton program.

 
Mark Suski

Mark S. Suski
Funeral Director / Embalmer

Originally from Brandon, Mark majored in psychology at Brandon University before beginning his funeral career in 1994. Mark completed his funeral training at Bardal Funeral Home, graduating in 1997 winning the Top Student Award for highest academic achievement in his class. Mark has been married to his wife Andrea for 19 years.

 

Paul J. Dawson
Apprenctice Funeral Director/ Embalmer

Raised in St. Andrews manitoba, Paul worked and co-managed at a family owned business for almost 20 years. Paul joined Bardal Funeral Home in April of 2009 and started his training at the Canadian College of Funeral Service in September of that same year. Paul loves movies and music, and plays drums in various capacities, including his own band. He enjoys spending time with family and friends.

 
 

Shane G. Neufeld
Funeral Director

Originally from British Columbia, Shane began working in Funeral Service in Manitoba in 1990 completing acquiring his licenses in 1992.
Shane and his wife Christy have two children, Ella and Brock.  He enjoys photography and has completed his 3rd degree of Free Masonry, York Rite and became member of the Khartum Temple of the Shrine in 1997.
