Dave McKinna
It is with great sorrow and shock that the family announces the sudden but peaceful passing of Dave McKinna, of Calgary formerly of Winnipeg, on Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010 at the age of 50 years.
Dave spent the better part of his career working at Gardewine North in Winnipeg where he made many life long friends. He continued his career in transportation after relocating to Calgary in 2003 to be closer to his family. Dave will be missed by his many friends in both Winnipeg and Calgary.
Dave is survived by his mother Barbara Neufeld (McKinna) of Calgary; his brother Brit McKinna of Lethbridge; his sister Sherry Hauser (Rodney) of Calgary; his nephew Kyle Hauser and niece Carly Hauser both of Calgary. Dave was predeceased by his father William (Bill) McKinna in 1980; his stepfather Jacob Neufeld in 2004 and his brother Richard (Rick) McKinna on January 15th 2010.
Funeral services will be held at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street at 3:00 p.m. Friday March 12, 2010. Burial of Dave’s cremated remains will take place in Winnipeg at a later date.
If friends so desire memorial tributes may be made directly to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
