Roderick Dhu Munro was born on October 29, 1944 and passed away after a long fight against Alzheimers on March 21, 2021.
He was predeceased by his mother Dorothy, his father Lewis and brother Hugh Munro.
Rody left behind his three sons Kevin (Darlene), Douglas (Tracy) and Chad (Amanda) and his 5 grandchildren Randy, James, Grace, Riley and Mark. He is also survived by his siblings Sandra Ottenbreit and Ian Munro and their families, his niece Colleen Munro and his sons’ mother Sandy Munro.
Rody was a kind, generous hard-working man who could strike up a conversation with a stranger and would always help those in need if he could. He loved animals of all kinds and was always happiest with a dog or cat underfoot. His spirit although diminished at the end of his life will always be remembered and cherished.
Rody will be laid to rest at the Clandeboye United Church Cemetery in Clandeboye, Manitoba.
The family wishes to thank the staff and nurses at Golden Links Lodge where Rody spent the last 3 years of his life for their warm, kind, and respectful care.
