Frank Harry Holm
1932 - 2020

In the afternoon on September 7, 2020, with family at his bedside, Frank Holm, 88, passed peacefully away at Calvary Place Personal Care Home.

Frank was born in Kingston, Ontario on February 25, 1932 and grew up in Thunder Bay, Ontario. He was currently residing in Winnipeg after lengthy stays in Montreal, St. John’s and Ottawa.

He was predeceased by his wife Doreen of almost 64 years by 10 days.

Frank will be greatly missed by his children Randall (Olive) Holm, Carl (Debbie) Holm, and Gordon (Debbie) Holm; his grandchildren Laura (Adam), Andrew (Deidre), Matthew (Holly), Jeffrey (Regan) and Timothy; his great grandchildren Rae, Jameson and Pierson; special family member Eric Smith and many others across the country. His son Donald predeceased him in October 1964.

He loved to sail and golf but his favorite activity was regaling family and friends with endless stories and humorous anecdotes.

Special thanks to the staff at Calvary Place for their kindness and care of both Doreen and Frank during the duration of their stay.

Memorial Service
In this Covid-19 time and because Frank and Doreen’s life impacted so many people across the country the family has decided to celebrate their lives with a real time zoom memorial service which will be held on September 11th at 10:00 central time. The service will last about 30 minutes and will be followed by an opportunity to share mutual stories about Frank and Doreen.
